                Yes, this is simple. I was looking for how to have blueberries with the syrup and am combining with strawberries, so that should do it. I understood the general principle of the sugar drawing out the liquid inside the strawberries, however I never had looked it up to have a timeframe. Thanks for sharing for those who have seen this done but are not aware of the details. How long they can be saved is helpful too.

  • 4 cups mixed berries (slice larger ones)
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Directions

Combine berries with sugar. Stir occasionally for 45 minutes, and watch as they transform into a vibrant, juicy sauce. Serve over ice cream, pancakes, or shortcake. For a float, alternate the berries with scoops of ice cream and top it all off with seltzer.
